The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship provides funding to college sophomores and juniors planning to pursue careers in natural science, mathematics, or engineering research. Sophomores receive funding for their junior and senior years; juniors receive funding as seniors only.

Students must be endorsed by their undergraduate institutions to apply.

Award:

• Up to $7,500 per year

Eligibility:

• Open to US citizens, nationals, and permanent residents
• Must be a sophomore or junior pursuing full-time study
• Must intend to pursue a research career in natural science, mathematics, or engineering
• College GPA of at least 3.0
