Andrew Santos
Director of Diversity & Inclusion
Andrew (he/him) is a physics PhD candidate at École Polytechnique in France where he was a 2020-21 Fulbrighter with the Leprince-Ringuet Laboratory. With the support of the Beering Scholarship at Purdue University, he completed a physics degree in 2020 and then went on to obtain a Master’s in High Energy Physics from the Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Andrew has been committed to making science more accessible through initiatives that bring together various combinations of peers, university faculty, high school students, particle physicists, and the general public. He is a proud Filipino-American and enthusiast of frogs and neutrinos.
Eryn Sale
Director of Applicant Support
Eryn (she/her) is a graduate student at UT Southwestern Medical Center, working towards a PhD in Computational Neuroscience. A Hoosier at heart, she completed her undergraduate degree at Purdue University in Neurobiology and Genetics. She conducted neuroscience research in Norway on a Fulbright Fellowship in 2021 prior to graduate school. When not in lab, she is a coffee-addicted, plant and bird enthusiast.
Klaudia Jaźwińska
Director of Operations
Klaudia (she/her) is a journalist and researcher who was the first in her immigrant family to pursue a university degree. She was also the first person at her undergraduate university to receive the Marshall Scholarship in 40 years, and she used it to pursue degrees at the London School of Economics and Cardiff University (in Wales). Klaudia enjoys spending time outdoors and collecting obscure board games.
Morgan King
Director of Research
Morgan (she/her) is a climate organizer in her hometown. As a Marshall Scholar, she completed an MPhil in Public Policy from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Environmental Systems Engineering from University College London. In 2018, she won a Fulbright Scholarship to Spain, where she introduced Model United Nations and the Sustainable Development Goals to high schoolers. She holds a BS in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog and reading with her cat.
Rose Asaf
Director of Outreach
Rose Asaf (she/her) is a 2020 Marshall Scholar working as a researcher in public education in the UK. She is originally from Las Vegas and did her undergraduate degree at New York University. After graduating, she worked as a regional director on Bernie Sander’s 2020 presidential campaign. As a Marshall Scholar, she studied Conflict Transformation and Social Justice at Queen’s University Belfast and Sociology at the University of Oxford. In her spare time, she likes to see movies at the cinema, go on long (and leisurely) cycles, and swim in the lido. She is excited to support FWD: Scholars in reaching new people.
